I haven't been blogging as much lately. Mainly I've just had zero desire to be on the computer all that much. AJ & I have also been relatively busy with this or that lately- so I figured this morning I would give just a quick conglomeration of different things going on.
- AJ & I have started playing racquetball together. We did doubles this weekend and kicked some trash. Although playing doubles with AJ is funny cause he can't help himself but be a little bit of a ball hog.
- I'm currently reading, "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" and am finding it fascinating. I haven't read a book like this one in a long time and I am finding the intelligent writing style very refreshing. PLUS- I love ANY book that I learn new words from.
- ISU for some reason is telling AJ they are going to consider him a nonresident. Which is complete BS and he is going to have to petition that decision. Lame.
- I've been thinking a lot on the concept of friendship lately and am finding more and more I am looking forward to getting away from the military lifestyle and getting away from people who think friends are only those you contact in times where you need something.
- We have a facebook again. I am not really active on it at all and only go on it if I have a new friend request or message from someone I know. AJ is going to town on some farmville though and keeps me updated on how we are doing. Apparently we have a very cool pony of some sort.
- A little over a week ago AJ announced that he wanted to start eating healthy with me. I designed a meal plan for the both of us and he has really stuck to it. I warned him about the withdrawal and detox period he may go through and that hit him this weekend. Yesterday he had a headache and wanted to sleep all day. He is looking forward to when the next few days are over and his body is healthy. I'm proud of him. (We aren't doing a "detox diet" but I have eliminated practically all processed foods from our diet. His body is detoxing from the processed foods and chemicals..)
- Herman Cain has decided not to run for President after all. Although I feel as if this is no real surprise to anyone, I'm actually a little disappointed. I felt he was much needed comic relief during this political battle.
- AJ & I have both officially made it to the playoffs in our Fantasy Football league. This weekend is the playoffs, and then the week after is the "Super Bowl" for our league. There is a big possibility that the finals could be between AJ & I. This makes us both pretty happy since the winner gets $200 and we are in need of some more fun Christmas decorations!! Hehehe
- The Green Bay Packers are still undefeated. Although yesterdays game made me have to change shorts on more than one occasion. The Cowboys are leading their division, but lost yesterday.
- I turn 27 this year on the 26th of December. When I asked AJ if he knew how old I would be, he stuttered and then had to do the math in his head... He knows what year I was born, but not how old I am. What a goober.
- Have I mentioned that we are less than 5 months from getting out of the military?
- I am so excited about the work I have gotten done in my preparations for my personal trainer business, Clutch Fitness - so I can hit the ground running when we get there. PS: Like my logo??-Our little boy Blitz turns 2 this month! What a big boy!
So that about covers us lately. A little Kelly Potpourri for you. I may or may not update a lot this month. We have been pretty busy and I have had this aversion to the computer. Hope everyone is doing well! And the Holiday Season is making you smile!!
