Do you believe in...ghosts?

AJ & my pumpkins! AJ's FIRST carving experience!
It's Halloween week!! Oh how I love, love O-Hallows-Eve! I don't care about the individuals who talk about how corporate America has taken a traditional holiday dating back 2000 years ago to the Celts and made into a money-making scheme. People who don't like holidays based on this make no sense to me. Of course capitalism is going to take over and do its thing, but it doesn't make it any less enjoyable for me. I love boosting the economy on Halloween by finding fun candy, decorations, and costumes. I love the fun kids movies like Hocus Pocus and Casper. I love carving pumpkins. I love ghost stories. And who doesn't love to trick or treat?
I was completely lazy this weekend and actually finished two books: Demons are a Ghouls Best Friend & Ghouls Just Haunt to Have Fun, both by Victoria Laurie. They are fun fictional mystery novels based on a ghost busting psychic.
AJ's mother, Rebecca Kelly, has actually published a few books herself regarding ghosts; a fictional novel called Darkwood Secrets & a biographical accounting, East Texas Towns and Their Ghosts. I personally, am a full believer in ghosts. Although I do believe that reality TV has run amok on the topic. I actually have no problem or shame in saying that I believe in ghosts and have a few experience in my life to back my beliefs up.
Halloween always gets people watching scary movies, talking about whether they believe in spooky this or that, and reliving their own tales. I'm excited for another fun year with family and festivities. AJ & I actually won a giveaway from the wonderful Jenny, from Geek In Heels, for Halloween costumes from halloweencostumes.com. Yay! We will post pictures of our costumes here sometime this week.
Until then, I hope you enjoy your Halloween festivities and I have to ask the question, "Do YOU believe in ghosts?"

I remember you telling me one of your ghost stories (like one you experienced) in high school and the visual of it freaks me out still. I am on the fence about ghosts. I don't really believe in them, but I've had friends and family who've had some seemingly inexplicable experiences, so I'm not totally ruling it out.

Also I love that we won consecutive giveaways on Jenny's blog! Luck of the Idahoans, I guess :)

I actually don't remember which story I told you... Or the conversation... I'm surprised to hear cause I usually don't talk much about those experiences. Just shows how much I think of you! Always have!!
And yay for Idaho winning giveaways! First time I've won a giveaway actually. Woot!

Well it stayed with me because the visual was so horrifying. Just to jog your memory, it was an old woman while a train was going by. If you think that's too much info to share with others, feel free to delete my comment.

And it was my second time, but the first time was on a much smaller blog. I hardly ever win things.
